Commutator Lifting Inequalities and Interpolation
In this paper we obtain a multivariable commutator lifting inequality, which extends to several variables a recent result of Foiaş, Frazho, and Kaashoek. The inequality yields a multivariable lifting theorem generalizing the noncommutative commutant lifting theorem. This is used to solve new operator-valued interpolation problems of SchurCarathéodory, Nevanlinna-Pick, and Sarason type on Fock s...
متن کاملCommutator Inequalities Associated with the Polar Decomposition
Let A = UP be a polar decomposition of an n×n complex matrix A. Then for every unitarily invariant norm ||| · |||, it is shown that ||| |UP − PU |||| ≤ |||A∗A−AA∗||| ≤ ‖UP + PU‖ |||UP − PU |||, where ‖·‖ denotes the operator norm. This is a quantitative version of the wellknown result that A is normal if and only if UP = PU . Related inequalities involving self-commutators are also obtained.
متن کاملNorm Comparison Inequalities for the Composite Operator
The purpose of this paper is to establish the Lipschitz norm and BMO norm inequalities for the composition of the homotopy operator T and the projection operator H applied to differential forms in R, n ≥ 2. The harmonic projection operator H, one of the key operators in the harmonic analysis, plays an important role in the Hodge decomposition theory of differential forms. In the meanwhile, the ...
متن کاملWeighted Norm Inequalities
Introduction In the rst part of the paper we study integral operators of the form (1) Kf(x) = v(x) x Z 0 k(x; y)u(y)f(y) dy; x > 0; where the real weight functions v(t) and u(t) are locally integrable and the kernel k(x; y) 0 satisses the following condition: there exists a constant D 1 such that Standard examples of a kernel k(x; y) 0 satisfying (2) are (i) k(x; y) = (x ? y) , 0 (ii) k(x; y) =...
متن کاملWeighted Norm Inequalities for Fractional Operators
We prove weighted norm inequalities for fractional powers of elliptic operators together with their commutators with BMO functions, encompassing what is known for the classical Riesz potentials and elliptic operators with Gaussian domination by the classical heat operator. The method relies upon a good-λ method that does not use any size or smoothness estimates for the kernels. Indiana Univ. Ma...
